Maestitium is a studio project founded in 2019 by guitarist, vocalist and composer Elias Westrin (Tomb Dweller, ex-Voices of Vengeance).
Created as part of a music production project at Hola Folkhögskola, the vision was to craft an EP inspired by the melodic and atmospheric depth of bands like Insomnium, Sentenced and Wintersun — a long-standing creative goal that finally took shape as Maestitium.
After searching for the right collaborators, Westrin recruited renowned session musicians Nils “Dominator” Fjellström (Nordjevel, ex-Dark Funeral) and Anton Flodin (Deathbreed) to handle drums and bass, bringing the project to life and laying the foundation for its debut release.
